Culinary Students Cook for Traverse City Guild Auction
15th Annual Grand Traverse Tasters Guild Auction is happening on February 27 at the Great Lakes Campus Hagerty Center at 7pm. They will have many local wineries as well as about a dozen ethic food tables. Students of the Great Lakes Culinary Institute at Northwestern Michigan College will be preparing all of the food.Culinary creations to be served include a Caribbean table with jerk-marinated pork ribs and skewered shrimp, a Spanish table with tapas, a German table with house-made sausages and a sushi table. Students enrolled in World Cuisine classes help create the menus. - Traverse City EagleThe fundraising event will also feature auctions for everything from wine and art to golfing and skiing packages. Tickets are $45 and can be bought through the culinary school.
